The side view of the BMW M3 combines the DNA of a high-performance sports car with the everyday suitability of a four-door sedan.
IMPRESSIVE+
The forward-thrusting front end with the high-gloss black double-bar kidney grille with M3 emblem and the large air inlets is complemented by dynamic-design all-LED headlights. Their filigree design and impressive brilliance guarantee a confident presence in daylight hours, and perfectly illuminate the road ahead at night.
EXPRESSIVE+
The rear view with its wide track creates a lasting impression. Progressive-design LED rear lights accentuate the resolute stance, as do the wide high-performance sports tyres. The M rear spoiler increases the downforce, for improved aerodynamics. And the M diffuser and angled M twin tailpipes blend perfectly into the rear apron with the characteristic air outlets.
AERODYNAMIC+
The two upright inlets for the Air Curtain and the M gill elements at the sides with integral Air Breather element reduce aerodynamic drag around the wheel arches. This optimises the aerodynamic performance and, coincidentally, also increases the heart rate.
LIGHT+
As part of the BMW intelligent lightweight construction concept, the Carbon roof made of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) helps to reduce the vehicle's weight, shifting the car's centre of gravity lower. This leads to an increase in agility and dynamics when taking a bend, accelerating and braking.
ACCENTUATED+
In the rear lights, too, the lighting functions are performed entirely by means of light-emitting diodes. Their stretched L-shape with the continuous lighting design forms a fluid transition with the luggage compartment lid, accentuating the distinctive styling of the rear end.
M COMPETITION PACKAGE.
Thanks to an enhanced engine output and a specially tuned Adaptive M suspension, the M Competition package offers a noticeable increase in driving dynamics. The M sports exhaust system with black, chrome-plated twin tailpipes creates a powerful, full engine sound. The package also includes M lightweight sport seats and exclusive 20" M light alloy wheels with mixed tyres.

A more sporty interior is hard to imagine: an ergonomically optimised M leather steering wheel with two M Drive buttons for activating your individual vehicle set-ups. A cockpit with M-specific instrument cluster. Perfect bucket-style M seats. In short: an atmosphere infused with dynamism and technological progress.
DRIVER-FOCUSED+
Squarely within the field of view are the instrument display in M design and the ergonomic M leather steering wheel. Individual set-ups are activated using the central M Drive buttons. On the version with M double-clutch transmission, there are also shift paddles directly behind the steering wheel rim trimmed on the outside with soft leather nappa.
SIDE SUPPORT+
The bucket-style M seats, integral head restraints and illuminated M logo at shoulder level offer perfect side support and encourage new personal bests. Because their systematic use of lightweight construction helps to reduce the vehicle’s weight. For extra support during sporty driving, there is a knee pad on the driver’s side of the centre console.
ACCENTS+
When the M character is taken to the next level, this becomes apparent in the details: on the centre console, for example, where selected elements such as radio and climate control are highlighted with chrome applications.

The 3.0 l M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine blends the best of two worlds: a high-revving character capable of up to 7,600 rpm, and superior power culminating in peak torque of 550 Nm. Bi-turbo direct injection and typical M fine tuning make sure the engine responds directly to even the slightest touch of the accelerator with vigorous thrust and confident traction. Numerous innovations such as sleeveless construction or a lighter, forged crankshaft build on the intelligent lightweight construction concept, improve dynamics and acceleration, reduce consumption and enable an optimum axle load distribution of almost 50:50. The reward: unprecedentedly agile handling that’s impressively underscored by the unmistakable sound of the M engine.
AGILITY+
BMW EfficientLightweight is an efficient lightweight-construction approach involving the use of ultra-light materials, and is the top priority in M vehicles.
